Privacy
PlayIt4Me uses account contact details, password hashes, act memberships, profile and catalog information, shows, request records and payment references to operate the service. Optional patron names, contact details and dedications are stored with the request when supplied.
Published profiles, public band members, selected media and the allowed Up Next song are visible to visitors. Public audience views do not show the future queue, queue position, pooled tip totals or other patrons’ requests. A private request status link gives access to that request; keep it private.
Payment providers handle their own checkout and payment details. PlayIt4Me stores provider references and verification, refund and dispute state, and does not collect payment-card numbers in its request forms. Payment services and other external websites have their own privacy policies.
Session cookies support sign-in, CSRF protection and request operation. Operational security and audit records help investigate failures and unauthorized access. Access to account, tenant and payment records is restricted by membership or deliberate administrator support access.
Musician app and notifications
The iOS musician app uses the same accounts and database as this website. It keeps its protected sign-in session credential in Apple Keychain on your device and shares the trusted playit4.me session only between its musician API and embedded portal. It does not keep your password or a separate authoritative payment or request database.
For optional notifications, PlayIt4Me stores an app installation identifier, Apple Push Notification service (APNs) device token, selected act, notification preferences, access-validation metadata, notification events, inbox/read status and delivery attempts or results. These records connect an authorized device to new playable requests and confirmed tip changes that move a song higher in the queue; they support retries and missed-event history.
With your notification permission, we send the device token and alert payload to Apple APNs for delivery. Alerts use minimal content by default. You may enable song details in notification settings. Alerts do not include patron names, private dedications, payment references, passwords or private request-status links. Apple and iOS control presentation; permission settings, Focus, connectivity or device conditions may delay or prevent an alert.
Notifications are optional: the musician portal and live queue work when permission is denied. Change each act’s new-request, rank-improvement and preview-detail preferences in the app’s notification settings. You can also disable notification permission in iOS Settings. Confirmed app sign-out revokes its device registration and clears its local sign-in credential and delivered alerts. Account or membership revocation is checked before further delivery. Turning off alerts does not delete the act’s request or payment history.
The companion app does not use advertising or cross-app tracking. Notification data is used to operate and protect the musician service, not to market to patrons.
Delete your musician account
Use Delete your account to permanently remove or anonymize your personal musician login identity across all acts, revoke memberships and clear recovery tokens, notification registrations and your inbox. The deletion page requires your current password and explicit confirmation, and reports completion. Export anything you need before deleting.
If other musicians depend on you as the last active owner, transfer ownership before deletion. A sole-member act must be closed first. The deletion page gives directions to finish scheduled or live shows, cancel the Stripe subscription and wait for provider-confirmed cancellation, and resolve uncertain payments, returns and disputes. Choose the relevant act before reviewing its records. Access for recovery, refunds and exports stays available while these obligations are being resolved.
For a closed sole-member act, deletion erases its profile, public member names, social links, display settings, image metadata, payment-method connections and unused catalog entries, and anonymizes the act name and URL. Uploaded files are removed after the database deletion; any files awaiting physical cleanup are no longer accessible through the site. The completion page reports their pending count. Failed or unfinished file removal is kept in a durable cleanup queue for retries by scheduled maintenance jobs; it is not reported as completed file erasure.
Other musicians’ shared act records and necessary financial, security and audit history are retained with an anonymous account reference. Deleting a PlayIt4Me account does not itself cancel an external subscription, complete a refund or erase information held by Stripe, PayPal or another provider. Protected server sessions cannot authenticate after account deletion; protected backups follow the operator’s retention policy.
Contact support@playit4.me for privacy questions, access or correction requests, or help with records that need reconciliation. Required financial, security and recovery records may be retained for unresolved payments and applicable obligations. This page does not promise fixed retention days or an unsupported provider/deletion completion deadline.
